With the successful completion of the Y2025 Ramadan fasting by Muslims faithful, the General Manager Lagos State Driver's Institute( LASDRI) Mrs. Tiamiyu Afusat has stressed the need for all road users not to overlook safety measures during the celebration.
In her Eid-el-Fitr message,
Tiamiyu commended the Muslims faithful for adhering strictly to Islamic injunctions by denying themselves of food and drinks during the holy month and urged all to imbibe the spirit.
She explained further that this period is often characterized by increased movement and activity on our road leading to an increased risk of traffic crashes if safety measures are not given the needed attention.
Tiamiyu observed that impatient ,wrong driving and inadequate knowledge of road signs account for the major problems of motoring public on lagos roads, noting that many of these drivers are too much in a hurry to comprehend and interpret the messages each road signs represented and this ultimately land them in trouble with road traffic management officials.
She admonished all road users to take frontline responsibility for their safety and other road users by refrain from overloading, speeding and engaging in dangerous driving to ensure a safe and incident free Eid -el-fitr celebration.
