Mrs Bolaji Fasinu, a mother of three who is residing at Oko-Filling, Abule Ijoko, Ogun State, described her chilling encounter with unknown armed men who invaded her resident on the late evening of Wednesday 31st of January 2024, describing it as an unforgettable day of sorrow in her life and family.
Madam Bolaji Fasinu, said, she heard voices around the house on the said evening and thinking they were armed robbers but became more alarmed when they started shouting the name of her husband's name, asking, "where is Oluwaseun" and others calling his other name - Zaccheus, as they moved towards the entrance of her door, making her to cautiously come out to inform them that her husband was not around.
They became aggressive, making further enquiries about his whereabout specifically, by this time the curious Children also tried coming out to see those asking after their father, but when they saw the menacing attitude of the men against their mother, they began to cry help, while their mother was incoherently responding that her husband has travelled to Canada which made the armed men angrier and they attacked her.
According her, "the moment the armed men entered their compound and started searching for her my husband, the children sensed danger and managed to escape from the exit door of the house. I was not so lucky as the armed men attacked me, pulling me closer with an attempt to hit me with one of the dangerous weapons in their hand, before I shouted loudly for help in other to distract them, then I had a little from their grip making to use the back door to escape, while I jumped over the short fence of the house."
Mrs Bolaji also said, the last thing she remembered was when she jumped the fence and the armed men ran away before the neighbors come to her rescue while unconscious.
One of the neighbors named Mrs Omowunmi Rebecca Adetayo who assisted her with another passerby, who later contacted newsmen, explained that they only heard a shout of help and before getting out to know what was happening, they saw her on the floor unconscious before she was taken to a nearby Trado Medical Clinic.
Chief Dr. Olaewe, administered the first aid treatment and afterwards referred her to the State General Hospital, Ota. Ogun State.
The neighbor who helped her, added that the armed men ran through the street gate and could hear them saying “your husband can not escape from us.”
We further asked from Bolaji Fasinu why are the men looking for her husband? In her response, she said, "the same set of evil men are the one who killed her husband's father because he was protecting my husband from being attacked as a result of his bisexuald activities which was termed to be abominable by his people.
Bolaji who suffered a strain on her shoulder and swollen hand aftes jumping through the fence has been treated and now on her feet, reported to the Police as directed by her husband from Canad on Monday 5th of February, 2024, and the Police said the case is under investigation.
She demanded for justice and promised to protect her children from the evil people since she doesn’t know what they are planning to do next.
